Vertical Horizon is an American alternative rock band formed at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in 1991 by Matthew Scannell and Keith Kane. The band released There and Back Again (1992), Running on Ice (1995) and Live Stages (1997) before they were signed to RCA records. Then their biggest hit, Everything You Want was released in 1999. After the double platinum album "Go" was released in 2003. "Go" could not be able to as successful as the former one. Then after a 6 years period Vertical Horizon released Burning the Days. After the album, co-founder Keith Kane was announced to be announced that he will not tour with the band since he'd like to focus on his solo and other projects. The frontman Matt Scannell has recorded a new album with brand new band members between 2011 and 2013. On August 26, 2013 the effort's name was announced as "Echoes From The Underground" and information regarding the pre-sale would be available soon. The first single "Broken Over You" was released and can be listened through the band's official website.
