I have not been a fan of Eminem’s for a long while now but this song has made me want to hear more from this next album. I am looking forward to further leaks/releases from the album before it is out.

‘Til I collapse I’m spilling these raps long as you feel ’em
’til the day that I drop you’ll never say that I’m not killing ’em
Cause when I am not, then I’mma stop penning ’em
And I am not hip hop and I’m just not Eminem

Your run is over Em, just admit when it’s at it’s end…

if it was at its end then why are you here? leave that crap at home, idiots like you run around talking crap about a person that you took your time to comment and click on is stupid, I don’t like justin beiber so you know what I do? I just don’t go to articles and videos about him. I don’t stand around watching him like someone who is butthurt that he made money for being good. Go hang out somewhere, where you are needed, like in front of a train. We need less people like you in the world.

Fans are people who support an artist, but not automatically adore every shit the artist takes. If fans should always like what their favorite artist makes, there wouldn’t be any challenge anymore for the artist. Fans are people who support an artist, and are able to dislike a track of the artist. If the artist suddenly changes his music style, you do not have to like the music just to be a fan, but if you are a fan you still feel connected to the artist.

I am a huge Eminem fan (bought five albums, including Relapse, Recovery and MMLP2, couldn’t sleep for a week before the release of MMLP2, etc.), but I can see that Eminem just is not good or exciting anymore. Em was once known for his incredible rhyme schemes, he was technically good. Now he writes stuff like:

      “This always happens
30 minutes from home, gotta lay a log cabin, only option I have’s McDonalds’s bathroom
In a public stall dropping a football, so every time someone walks in the John I get maddened
“Shady, what up?” What? Come on, man, I’m crappin’
And you’re asking for my goddamn autograph on a napkin?
Oh that’s odd, I just happened
To run out of tissue, yeah, hand me that, on second thought I’d be glad then
“Thanks dawg, name’s Todd, a big fan”
I wiped my ass with it, crumbled it up in a wad and threw it back”

Like come on, did you really just rap about shitting on a piece of paper and handing it to a fan?

I hate 80% of the other Eminem fans, they just can’t be objective

thats not the greatest line or anything but it has meaning. in “the way i am ” he says ” but i can’t take a shit in the bathroom without someone standing by it,know i won’t sign you a autograph you can call me an asshole, I’m glad”. the purpose of mmlp2 was to revisit some of those things, and clearly on mmlp it was more serious but now he talks about it like a joke.

‘Rap God’, ‘Legacy’ and ‘Headlights’ still exist though, and I personally like the two Sia collabs. ‘Love Game’ was a decent Kendrick track if not life changing.

And I can still honestly play ‘Berserk’ even if other people don’t see it. ‘Survival’ was awesome live and that’s why it exists. The Rihanna collabs can go in my opinion and he uses Skylar Grey all wrong, and there’s some definite filler around that too.

There are more misses now, but he’s hardly irrelevant. I’d like to see harder tracks maybe with Yelawolf, but its never quite worked, there’ll be something worth hearing on ‘ShadyXV’ though maybe not 100%, who’s putting out perfect rap albums?

And I can still point you directly to some crazy rhyme schemes, I’ll letter them.

Its still better than no Eminem and some tracks stand up to plenty of his older work.

Rap God is very overrated, Headlights just another poppy beat (just like all the Sia collabs) with corny lyrics. And about Legacy… I’m going to quote Pitchfork here, because I couldn’t word it any better:

““Legacy” pulls all manner of cockamamie pronunciation gymnastics just so Eminem can end every line with the same rhyming syllables, and the song’s decision to dispense with proper word accents and splay sentences haphazardly across the middle of lines makes for a flow that comes across overwrought and labored even as it plays Frankenstein with conventional word choice and rhyme patterns. ”

The only good tracks off MMLP2 were Evil Twin and Bad Guy, but they still are nothing comparded to SSLP, MMLP, TES and Infinite.

This is why its just individual opinions, I think the first half of ‘Bad Guy’ is the worst part of the whole album, the forced references and just how unnecessary it all is is cringe worthy at times, second half is fine.

Dismissing ‘Rap God’ as “overrated” is easy to do but writing that kind of flow isn’t easy and I like many think its fire at times.

As for the obligatory “poppy” accusations, I’m not even sure what to do with them anymore, it doesn’t matter what he does “poppy” will be thrown his way and SSLP and MMLP had its “poppy” tracks too. So you can dismiss any as “poppy” but I’m not even sure people know what they’re even trying to say when they say it, it means nothing really.

And no nothing is close to SSLP and MMLP nothing is or ever will be, it was more than just Eminem’s music, it was completely new, it was a moment in time where everything was right for him, you can’t re-create that.

Infinite is trash, this is how I know a bad Eminem fan who just lauds superiority over others, I’ve had Infinite a long time just like you and I know it very well and I’ll tell you now its BAD. ‘Infinite’ the track is the only one that holds up the rest is forced rhyming and nonsensical mundane crap, so try and argue its his best work, its clearly not, shit even Encore can compete with Infinite.

‘Legacy’ is dope, couldn’t care what you tell me.

‘Headlights’ isn’t Sia by the way its Nate Ruess, Sia is on ‘Beautiful Pain’ (Deluxe album, but should be on the main disc in my opinion) and ‘Guts Over Fear’ .I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you knew that.

            Last point.

If Eminem is so bad and irrelevant now why are you here? (HINT:There’s no correct answer)

This will almost certainly be a ‘Re-up” style project with Shady Records celebrating 15 years of Shady Records.

I really hope I’m wrong and its a full Eminem album but I just can’t see it being that.

Hoping Royce will again influence Eminem in a good way again. Hell: The Sequel was good, but the last couple om Eminem albums were bad/mediocre. I’m sure it will not be anything like Guts Over Fear.

Never really been a fan of Eminem, had much respect for his music though. Marshall Mathers lp2 really didnt do it for me but then again i wasnt a fan of Eminem. Guts over Fear is a nice song and all but to be honest i think he should retire and just do some features, show his face sometimes.

Actually it doesn’t seem to have been reported so I might as well say it lol

There’s a audio file going around that has snippets of the following songs
    0:00 – Eminem – Shady XV
00:30 – Slaughterhouse – Psychopath Killer (Ft. Eminem & Yelawolf)
01:30 – Eminem – Die Alone (Ft. Kobe)
    02:30 – Bad Meets Evil – Vegas
    03:30 – Slaughterhouse – Y’all Ready Know
04:30 – Eminem – Guts Over Fear (Ft. Sia)
    05:30 – Yelawold – Down
    06:30 – D12 – Bane
    07:30 – Eminem – Fine Line
    08:30 – Skylar Grey, Eminem & Yelawolf – Twisted
    09:30 – Eminem – Right For Me
10:30 – Eminem, Royce, Big Sean, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf, Trick Trick – Detroit vs. Everybody
    11:30 – Yelawolf – Till It’s Gone (Deluxe track)

It’s one long mp3 file so that’s why there’s the times next to the names.
