Midnight Oddyssey Shards Of Silver Fade

Midnight Oddyssey is a relatively new band (2007) from Queensland Australia, yet already a master when it comes to atmosphere. Alongside bands like Woods Of Desolation & Austere, Midnight Oddyssey can easily keep up in melody, emotion and heartfeltness.

The last album, Funerals From The Astral Sphere, somehow knows how to perfectly capture an open nightsky. The album manages to fit the entirety of the cosmos into its songs, and it's honestly the best atmospheric/ambient black metal I've heard in quite a few years.

That album dates back to 2011 though, so one can only hope Shards Of Silver Fade can live up to its predecessor..

I for one, am not worried, judging from the earlier material, Midnight Oddyssey will not dissappoint.

Shards Of Silver Fade will supposedly be release June 8th 2015, through the Italian label; I, Voidhanger Records.
