Vokonis says: "Last year, we introduced you to a band called Creedsmen Arise, who made it no secret that they were devoted disciples of Sleep. Their EP ‘Temple’ was a concept album based on the genius idea Dopesmoker fan fiction and was pure joy to listen to. Later that same year, I was shocked to learn that this band with such promise had split up under mysterious circumstances. I was determined to find out what happened and to reach the creative heart behind the original project. Not surprisingly, it didn’t take the surviving members of Creedsmen Arise long to start playing again. This time, a new band arose from the ashes: VOKONIS, a three-member fuzzed out psychedelic doom outfit from Sweden featuring Simon Olsson (guitar/vox), Emil Larsson (drums), and Jonte Johansson (bass).
