Blink-182 will premiere “Bored to Death,” the first single from their forthcoming album this Thursday morning (April 28) (sorry I was wrong about the date, the internet lies) during the 7:00 a.m. hour (PT).
The band will join KROQ’s Kevin & Bean in studio to play the song and reveal more about the new album. Those outside Los Angeles can stream the broadcast at kroq.com/listen
Beginning Sunday, the band began teasing fans with panels of the single’s cover art via their Instagram feed. So far three panels have been released giving fans half the picture as seen below. Would it be fair to say that the woman has bored the driver to death? Just a guess…

Rumors about the release of the single came March 23 when a radio industry website listed “to-be-determined” Blink-182 song on its future releases chart.
The single will mark the first new music from the band since Neighborhoods, released in 2011. It’s also the first we’ll hear from the band’s new lineup with Alkaline Trio‘s Matt Skiba. “I think any fan of Blink-182 is going to be ecstatic when they hear the music. I really do!,” said Lisa Worden, KROQ Music Director after previewing the album. “It sounds like Blink-182 but it sounds like Blink in 2016. Lyrically it’s clever.” Worden explained that of the songs she’s heard, it’s primarily Hoppus on vocals with Skiba adding harmonies. “As a fan of the band for the last 20 years, I was so happy with what I heard. It was the band I’ve loved all these years
