Idk how to feel about this… yeah i get that he wants to try something new and be unique but man this is not working out at all… it might be worth listening to if he had others helping him with production instead of doing it all by himself. Big cudi fan but i was hoping this was going to be MOTM3 instead of this. Still looking forward to how this sounds though

Completely different kind of music. Chill he’s not going back to that rock shit anytime soon. He even said in an interview that he made that rock album as kind of a “fuck you” to the world because he was so depressed and felt alone.

I gave mad respect when I found that out, but SB2H was still very very bad. If PP&D is as good as Satellite Flight then I’m happy, but at the end of the day I think most fans just want MOTM3. Not too many Hip Hop fans like artistically adventurous music like Cudder’s been doing. They want drums/keys/bars/hooks every single song, doesn’t make much sense.

Cudi fans have patience like no other. And I don’t get why you would make SB2H as a “fuck you” since it’s the fans who are being screwed over in the end, not the people who want MOTM3.
Sure, he’s creative – But his quality filter is way off. IMO I think he should take a longer, extended break and collect material worth releasing as an album. Be it MOTM3 or something else.

Creative diversity is what makes an artist an artist. I’m not a big fan of hip and and rap, because of that I like very few songs and artists, being Kid Cudi one of those.
Me, being more in the spectrum of rock and metal…. when I first heard SB2H… damn.. it caught me off guard, I enjoyed very much that experimental rock vibe. SB2H was an album more for himself than for his audience, but still it works to even gain more fans and respect.

Let us remember that artists are suposed to create foremost for themselves.

SBTH is his deepest album which makes it his greatest. People just keep complaining and hating when they should just leave if they don’t like what they hear.

Don’t know what you mean. Speedin bullet 2 heaven was one of his most creative and spoke to me more then some of his other albums

Exactly. It was the deepest lyrically and I loved the sound. People only want the same old things. Don’t get me wrong, I love his original stuff too but I don’t mind him doing new things, and I even love his new stuff better. His guitar is amazing. I don’t think he should abandon his old sound, but I also don’t want him to stop his new stuff just because people are complaining. He just needs to do what he feels and forget the hate.
