Really damn exciting! Up the irons all my life, so you better believe I’m excited.
Now what is this gonna be like? Maiden but more prog? Rockier, more away from metal? A totally different thing? Cause you know it’s gotta have a touch of Maiden in it, cause Harris is Maiden. You do know it has to be good though.
Really Curious.
Any thoughts?
As Maiden have grown more into a full prog rock band, I’m interested to hear what Harris will do, especially with a dedicated keyboard, I’ve always felt Maiden was someting more special than simply a metal band (prog metal, maiden rock?), let’s see what the founding member does apart.
The album’s quite poor actually, don’t download it expecting hardly any connection with Maiden, the prog aspect is missing most of the times, the sound quality is amazingly poor, it seems dull, the bass seems too present, We all know the main figure in this is Steve, but it actually bother’s a bit, it removes the edginess.
Although it’s not a horrendous album, it seems to have very little Harris in it. The album certainly would sound a lot better sung by Bruce, I’m not saying I was expecting a new Iron Maiden album here, but it’s quite noticeable that a voice like Bruce’s would add a good amount of the Raw Power the project’s lacking.
Still it has some good songs in it, it’s forgettable but it deserves a few listens.
