Avenged Sevenfold have revealed the album cover, title, and release date for their highly anticipated sixth studio album. Titled Hail to the King, the record will be released on August 27. All the details were uncovered via an online scavenger hunt that led fans to different websites, including RevolverMag.com, that were hosting puzzle pieces. Avenged Sevenfold will also be playing a free show at the Hollywood Palladium on August 26 to celebrate the album release.
Major labels have really wizened up in the past year or two, pushing their physical shipping windows as late as possible to minimize leak time. As far as I can tell Monday is the European wide release (although amazon germany has it listed for this Friday). So the physical media has to be shipped and in stores by the end of this week, more than likely mid-week. I’ve given up trying to predict leak dates based on this or any other criteria as it just varies with every release. We could see it pop up today, but it wouldn’t shock me if it didn’t surface until Friday either.
This is it basically in a nutshell. Nightmare was a huge pain to get hold of as well and it wasn’t until the album was basically released in Australia that tracks were being leaked. Individuals have the album, but it seems to high risk for them to upload the album by themselves. Once shops begin to store the album is when I would bother to get my hopes up. Which coincidentally…is around about now I would think..
Who thinks that the leak is for today?
I’m thinking we will see it Wednesday-Friday time frame. I’m not going to be expecting it until the end of the week though. Not going to get hopes up.
The whole album will be streamed tomorrow 20th at iTunes Brazil. Calm down bro.

Chapter Four. It has all the hallmarks of the band, from the layered vocals in the verses(that, I love to see return) to a pair of great guitar harmonies. Also, it was the first song I heard of their’s and the one they opened with when I saw them live for the first time.

Waking the Fallen. An almost flawless album front to back. While CoE is great, I don’t think Shads had his vocals down quite yet and that’s the only real knock on that album.

I’ll second that
there is a stigma where you have to say Waking the Fallen because it proves your long standing fandom of A7X but the Self Titled is their most original and creative album. It was the only album that the band as an entirety wrote and the creative genius of Jimmy is all over that album.
Waking the fallen is my all time favorite, it got me into metal music. I use to hate heavy music until I heard that album.
