You know it’s bad when you start dreaming of finding a leak of the new album … and finding out in the morning that it hasn’t leaked at all yet :)
Come on! TWO weeks… There is no real “benefit” for pre ordering this crap when you don´t get to get it before everyone else. And I even pre ordered the deluxe version.

Its unfair that some dudes ( who have promo copies) listen to it 3 months before the release without paying a single cent ! While we spend our money to preorder it and wait 3 Months ! F**k That !
The people who have promo copies actually earned that right. Nothing wrong with that.
I don’t understand what’s unfair about that situation. We paid for something to be delivered around a certain date. You knew the release date before you pre-ordered. Next time don’t pre-order and you won’t feel the unfairness that comes with entitlement.

I dont understand how the new release Along for the ride didnt send the hype level to -500, awful song. The enemy inside was awesome but c’mon, generic ballad with awful keyboard solo.
It’s not a full technical song, and the keyboard sound that Jordan uses is not the best but… thats one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard!

Something, Something, Different tastes n stuff, etc etc. I love that “trivial” chorus.
Tastes are tastes.. But I expect something special from them! I think that the beauty of Dream Theater is make something strange and catchy at the same time. This sound is different from previous DT stuff ok, but it’s too “normal” for being DT! James LaBrie is singing without any feeling and the music itself seems made in one day, without particular details. I miss that refined sound… This song is too linear and chorus is repeated too often for my DT tastes xD For example “Hollow years” is another very linear song, but it has something magic and I can give many example!
I don’t see where you get James LaBrie singing with no feeling. I don’t hear that. Been a DT Fan since Awake and he sounds great to me.
Well since Images and words/Awake I feel a huge difference xD The enemy inside has a really static vocal track.. Compare it with “Caught in a Web” (even if the songs are conceptually a bit different, but both aggressive) and you’ll get what I mean, my friend..
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of DT but I try not to be a blinded fan-boy and I think I’m tough with them because they put high standard on their song.
I dont tend to fanboy either. I think Systematic Chaos was a wreck, Black Clouds being a little better. ADTOE was hope in my eyes, and these two tracks from this album, Enemy Inside and Along for the Ride have proven at least to me that this is more than likely going to be a great one. DT is a progressive band, they’ve Progressed over the years just as they should. This is a different DT, good in it’s own right. I think these two tracks are great, and I think Awake was great as well, but in two entirely different ways. Each album is a new DT in my opinion, my favorite being Scenes from a Memory, but I love this album so far as well.
I also made a post similar to this one, it’s really bland and uninspired, I’m not fan of ballads but Along for the ride is also very boring.
