Rhode Island riff manglers Howl have recently completed the recording of their upcoming new full-length. Titled Bloodlines, the band's second offering was recorded at Planet Z studio in Hadley, Massachusetts, produced by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Soulfly, Crowbar, Municipal Waste, 3 Inches Of Blood) and offers up 10 tracks of audio menace. Bloodlines is set for release via Relapse Records on April 30th, 2013 and follows Full Of Hell.
Commented the band on the results: "Bloodlines is Howl 2.0/Howl on steroids/the bigger, heavier album. We took our signature sound and pushed it to the next level. This is a metal record influenced by doom, rather than vice versa. There's more aggression, more extremes, it's harder-hitting. Zeuss really helped us capture the sound we wanted, the way we truly sound. Bloodlines is huge, brutal, monstrous!"
As a precursor to the record's official unveiling, Howl will take their metallic music to the road on a month-long run of live takeovers set to begin next month in New London, Connecticut. The band will be joined by a host of sonic assassins throughout the tour.
