Yeah, this will be the first Album from Trivium I will not be supporting, this has LITERALLY DRAIMAN written all over it. I swear, I’m listening to a Disturbed Album on most of these songs. ITS SO TERRIBLE.

just finishing the album write now, 80% of the album is mediocre. Still some goods songs, especially no 9 and 10. I think trivium is gonna be about singing from now on. We were expecting far too much.

I love Disturbed, so that may skew my opinion. But this album is AMAZING. I only really hear the “disturbed” in one song, but it doesnt ruin it for me.

I agree that a good few songs have some Draiman influences but that isn’t a bad thing! It’s like a heavier Disturbed! It’s not terrible because you don’t like it, we all have our own tastes and personally, I think it’s a great album!

I agree he had a big influence on the record, but on the other hand this album is great and i think if you can just look past comparing it to disturbed you would find that the songs are very good especially Vengeance Falls that track is killer and probably one of the least influenced by drainman.

I listened to the whole album and then went back to In Waves. Maybe I should give it a second chance.

Okay so I have listened to the album in full now. IMO, I favor this album over In Waves. Will you be hearing another Ascendancy or Shogun? No, but if you did, it would be repetitive. Honestly this is great for me. Songs like Brave this Storm, No Way to Heal, and Through Blood and Dirt and Bone are metal powerhouses for this album. Songs like Strife, Vengeance Falls, and At The End of This War are really strong in mixing metal with emotional stability and melodicness if that makes sense. To Believe and Villainy Thrives are good, but just a bit filler for me. Incineration: The Broken World and Wake: The End is Nigh are freaking nothing short of amazing, and really help the second half of the album shine light through, with Matt giving some of his best vocal performances to date. Sure, this isnt a metal snapping your neck like Shogun or Ascendancy was, but its better than In Waves(imo). Its worth the listen, unless of course you were expecting for it to sound like those two albums, in that case, sorry!

Really loving this album. Considering I didn’t like In Waves I wasn’t expecting much from this but I’m definitely surprised. It’s a good step forward for the band and even though I miss their old style, I’m glad they’re still putting out great albums. Looking forward to getting my physical copy :)

This album is bad… not as bad as The Crusade, but very close!

Tease the shit out of us with no clean vocal songs on In Waves, and then not even one of this album! :(

Sounds like all the guttural parts are tailored for Corey anyways.

I think this is more along the lines of the crusade which i actually enjoyed despite the naysayers. I just wish every damn cd wouldnt be completly different as on late. I mean i hoped for more. Though i was hesitant with draiman, even though i like disturbed, i think trivium took a little too much of his direction. Cant we get a killer 10 minute finale song? Anyways its still good its still trivium and if your a regular torrent user its easy to find good luck.
