The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack of 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' is coming on a Special Edition this December!
Like the two films before it, the final film in The Hobbit trilogy will include an original song performed by a well-known artist.
Billy Boyd, best known to Middle Earth fans as Pippin in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, will perform a new song titled “The Last Goodbye” for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ end credits. Boyd co-wrote the song with Hobbit producers Phillipa Boyens and Fran Walsh.
It's not any surprise news when you take into account that Billy Boyd's voice accompanies one of the trailers for the last Hobbit movie (taken from the Return of the King, the last movie in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy)
While we don’t know yet how Boyd came to work with The Hobbit’s producers on this project, it’ll be nice to see this subtle reference to The Lord of the Rings series at the end of The Battle of the Five Armies.
