With members from Atlas Moth, Leviathan, Krieg and now also Sonic Youth, Twilight can easily be defined as a supergroup. This is their first and final album III Beneath Trident's Tomb, produced by the legendary Sanford Parker.
Black metal supergroup Twilight welcomed a new member in the middle of 2012: Thurston Moore. "We're not coming together to make music," Moore said then of the group. "We're joining forces to destroy all rational thought."
Unfortunately, the band itself has also imploded. With news of their new album—III: Beneath Trident's Tomb, out March 18 in North American and March 17 in Europe through Century Media—comes the announcement that Twilight has broken up. The album will be their last. All this according to SPIN.
III features Moore, Stavros Giannopoulos (Atlas Moth), Wrest (Leviathan), and N. Imperial (Krieg), and underground metal superproducer Sanford Parker. (Blake Judd is no longer in the group; last year, he was arrested on theft charges and disbanded his longtime project Nachtmystium.)
GetMetal has had this leak for a while. Go get it.
