Formed in 1994 as Brawl, the band was renamed Disturbed in 1996 after Draiman was hired as the band's new vocalist. The band has released five studio albums, four of which have consecutively debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200.
Disturbed went into an indefinite hiatus in October 2011 and the band's members are currently working on various side projects.
On June 20, 2015, on Disturbed's Facebook page and website, there was material posted hinting at a possible return of the band. The website shows a new Disturbed logo, plus a video of the band's mascot 'The Guy' appearing to be on life support, still breathing. On June 22, 2015, Disturbed posted yet another video on Facebook, this time showing their mascot 'The Guy' Awakening from Life Support. As well as an 18 hour countdown on their official website, giving speculation to a definite reunion.
The hiatus is over. Over the last year, we’ve been secretly writing and recording a brand new album. Today, we are excited to share a new song called “The Vengeful One” along with a new music video. It’s off our upcoming album called “Immortalized,” which will be released on August 21, and is available for pre-order today. This album had the arduous task of, in some way, justifying the hiatus; giving the fans something that made it worth our time away from one another. We hope that it succeeds in that task. Thank you for staying with us over the years.
amazing comeback!
Sadly, the album is a disappointment. Easily their worst album yet.

Easily their best album yet.
One of my favorite albums of this year! Some weird openings, but great songs and videos :D.
