Philadelphia-based sci-fi thrashers VEKTOR have revealed the title of their upcoming new album, along with dates for their first ever European tour.
Officially titled ‘Terminal Redux’, the brand new album was recorded and produced by the band at their home studio and at Panther Pro Audio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was re-amped and mixed by Byron Filson at Villain Studios in Arizona. The album is due to be released in early 2016 on Earache Records.
VEKTOR vocalist/guitarist David DiSanto comments:
“We are extremely excited to announce Vektor’s first European tour! We will be playing new material to promote our upcoming album, ‘Terminal Redux’, and also a heavy mix of songs from both ‘Outer Isolation’ and ‘Black Future’. Prepare yourselves for total annihilation! Europe, we are coming for you!”
The “First Contact” European tour kicks off on November 21st in France and will see Spanish thrashers ANGELUS APATRIDA co-headline, with Dutch thrashers DISTILLATOR opening.
Outer Isolation was amazing I can’t believe it has really been 5 years since that. I’m super stoked for Terminal Redux I have a feeling it will be their best work yet.
I dont think it can top Outer Isolation, but it’ll come close. The first track (Charging the Void) starts off great but gets stale, and that’s the first time I’ve ever found a Vektor track to be stale. So I guess by default it wont be as good as OI for me.
Stale? Please. It’s really the best thing they’ve done. It’s just different.
Just because it’s different doesn’t make it less stale. It didn’t even fit with the flow of the song, felt tacked on.
