The Last Hero is the upcoming fifth studio album from American alternative metal band Alter Bridge. It is the follow up to their 2013 album Fortress, and is slated for an October 7. It is scheduled to be followed by a tour in the United Kingdom with Volbeat, Gojira, and Like a Storm. The band are also scheduled to go on the road with Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, and Saint Asonia during July and August. Guitarist Mark Tremonti has said this album is sonically a mixture between Alter Bridge's second album Blackbird and their fourth Fortress.
The band can do no wrong, this won’t be an exception.
Agreed, four (soon to be five) great studio albums and two amazing live albums. Plus, Tremonti & Kennedy’s other projects always put out quality material too.

I’m sure the event had some strict no recording policy, and if videos/audio of the new album from the listening party did make the rounds, Napalm Records and Alter Bridge’s management would do anything to pull it from the web. That being said, I wouldn’t put it past anybody to find a way .
This is going to be a truly insane release. And I mean that in the most endearing way possible.
Could not agree more. Myles, Mark, Brian, and Scott never fail to disappoint with their signature heavy, but melodic sound.
