Metal Church has long been one of my favourite bands. From their first two albums with David Wayne, then their 2 stellar followups with Mike Howe (followed by his alright final album after that) and all the ones with Ronny Monroe that followed up until they disbanded in 2009. After being spoiled with the quality of the Mike Howe albums (the mans voice was perfect for their music) I was somewhat let down with the vocals of Ronny Monroe, but I still enjoyed the music. So, when Metal Church reunited in 2012 (once again with Ronny Monroe) I was excited. However the subsequent album the band released, Generation Nothing, left me feeling empty. They just didn't have the spark. Then Ronny left and their future was once again in doubt. And then, the unthinkable happened, something that nobody ever thought would happen... MIKE HOWE RETURNED!!! I cannot express how excited I am for this album. Especially after having heard the first song released by the band, No Tomorrow. This is better than anything from Generation Nothing and better than anything released by the band since Mike left over 20 years ago. The man still has that bite. I hope all you faithful are as excited as I am.
