Delain has announced their upcoming EP and live record, Hunter's Moon, set to be released on February 22nd, 2019.
In fall of 2018, they had two special live shows in in the Netherlands and Germany in celebration of this upcoming release and premiered two of their new songs to their fans' pleasure: Hunter's Moon and Masters of Destiny.
They have described Hunter's Moon (2019) as the final act of a trilogy that started with Luner Interlude (2016) and continued with Moonbathers (2016).
Hunter’s Moon features four brand new tracks and live videos from the band's Danse Macabre tour stop in Tivoli (Utretcht) in 2017 which also included special guests such as Marco Hietala (Nightwish, Tarot, and others) and George Oosthoek (Orphanage). It will be released on CD, Blu-ray, vinyl, deluxe box set and on digital and streaming platforms, and it is open for exclusive pre-orders through the Napalm Records shop.
This is what the band had to say on their new material and their most collaborative song-writing process yet:
"Along with the live Blu-ray are four new studio tracks. Two of these offer a preview of what we are working on for our new full length studio album, which we expect to release in 2019. Masters Of Destiny is a dramatic, cinematic track, that we’re excited to shoot an equally dramatic video for this week. The title track has more of a catchy feel and will hopefully appeal to our fans featuring heavy riffs, orchestrations, a large chorus and as a novel feature, Timo’s screams. Our guitarists stepped to the forefront on this release, in writing This Silence Is Mine (Timo Somers) and Art Kills (Merel Bechtold). With fond live memories, classic and new sounds we're excited to present Hunter's Moon to the world!”
