Celeste Assassine(s)

To be released on Nuclear Blast on January 28th, 2022, Assassine(s) will be Celeste's sixth album since 2008. Each album has found the French four-piece largely sticking to a similar formula of unrelenting, suffocating blackened hardcore that never the less displays unique and interesting elements within linear song structures. Based on lead single Des torrents de coups (the bands output is entirely in French), the new album reflects an opening up of the bands sound. Our leitmotif here was to open our minds,” says guitarist Sébastien Ducotté. “We made a real effort to think outside of our box.” That is readily apparent in the lead single's incorporation of more melodic elements and modern production.
