Kasabian have revealed the details of their upcoming album. 48:13, which happens to be the length of the album, is described by the band as stripped-down, direct - With a "less is more" approach.
Kasabian are a rock band from Leicester, England, United Kingdom. The band consists of Tom Meighan (vocals), Sergio Pizzorno (guitar, synths, vocals), Christopher Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums) and current touring guitarist Tim Carter. The band has been compared with the likes of Primal Scream, with their similar electronica-indie rock fusion and Oasis, with whom they share their confidence, vision, swagger and rough vocal style.
The band formed in 1997 in Leicester, England and are named after Linda Kasabian, who was the getaway driver at the Tate-LaBianca murders committed by members of the Manson Family. Their eponymous first album was released in 2004 and received average reviews. However, tracks such as Cutt Off and L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever) reached the UK Top 10, and with two more Top 20 hits and the album peaking at #4 in the UK Album Chart, they defied the critics.
The second album, Empire, was released on the 28th of August 2006. The first single from the album, also titled Empire, was widely regarded as a musical success, with its change of beat and its catchy chorus. This was then followed by the release of the singles Shoot the Runner and Me Plus One.
The third album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, was released on the 5th of June 2009. The hit single off the album Fire reached #3 in the Official UK Singles Chart, making it the band’s highest charting single to date.
Kasabian posted on twitter a photo with the date 16.06.14 and later on a the video "Malted Milk" in which the new album name is seen (48:13), the setlist was posted gradually in Kasabian's instagram. Eez-eh will be the lead single of this new album.

ONE THEIR BEST SONGS EVER!!!!
Not sure which country’s release date you usually go by on this website, but the album is being released in at least three countries (Germany, Netherlands, Ireland) on June 6. June 9 is the UK release date.

Excellent
Treat sounds like it could be really good. After hearing that, I can say I’m very excited for this album. Kasabian rarely disappoints.
Totally agree. Hope it’s gonna be leaked soon, i can’t wait anymore!
It says 1 level 1 user has reported it leaked. Probably false.
In Ireland it will be out on 6 june, why it isn’t leaked yet?
Bow just premiered in XFM. Serge was sounding good. Bumblebeee was on BBC R1 but I missed it.

Thank you very much!
Only heard “eez-eh” so I’m not very enthused for the new album. I do like the concept, the artwork and the approach they wanna take, but the single is just off for me. If it is a back to basics thing I’m in, but this doesn’t sound like the first record at all.
For one, I really loved the last two records. Velociraptor! wasn’t very well received but I loved it. And WRPLA was a masterpiece.
After hearing “Bow”, “Explodes” and the album sampler I think it might be a better album than I expected.
No leak :(
False alarm… The admin needs to ban the idiots who report false leaks. Talk about creating false expectations…
Sorry to everyone. I was so rushed that i was searching in Getmetal. My mistake. Thanks for the report.
it’s streaming on itunes!
Is it? It’s not on mine (UK)…
HOORAY!
