Grimes Preps New Album

Claire Elise Boucher, or Grimes, is working on her fourth album – The follow-up to the highly acclaimed Visions. Her Abba-infused-with-Aphex-Twin sound is intact in 2014 as she unleashed the track “Go” a while back. Now she’s released a video accompanying the song, which is a collaboration with Blood Diamonds and was directed by Boucher and her brother.
Even if she still has that Grimes sound, it has a more commercial and mainstream approach to it. Maybe its due to the fact that the track was originally intended for Rihanna. And since there’s now a video, we could almost consider this the first single from the yet untitled album.

AGREED! hate the chorus…
Grimes has scrapped all her material from the album sessions. She was discouraged by negative responses to “Go”. She left Vancouver and is now recording in LA. She has also ditched her old method of recording alone and is no working with others. The album will not be as “mainstream” as the single.
I like the single. Would not want an album full of it. Basically another Charlie XCX album at that point. Curious what she scrapped. Just sucks we have to wait longer. Visions was so good.
I need updates, I’m waiting for grimes to release/announce the new album, but I’m sad that she lost the “REALiTi” track file on her computer waiting to be mastered..
