A rock/alternative/metal band from Jyväskylä, Finland including members from Swallow The Sun, Machine Men, Sons of Aeon, Code For Silence, Dark Days Ahead, Turta etc. Band's musical range is vast, varying from growling metal to melodic rock. Red Eleven's sound is also heavily seasoned by some of the 90s biggest rock acts such as Faith No More and Alice In Chains, which can be heard in the layered vocals and grungy guitar parts.
The story of Red Eleven began in 2009 under the name ‘Project Red Eleven’, when Tony Kaikkonen (vocals) and Teemu Liekkala (guitar/backing vocals) demoed a couple of songs together. In the summer of 2011 Tony played these songs to his buddies Pasi Pasanen (drums) and Petteri Vaalimaa (bass). The guys instantly thought “This should definitely be a real band!”. Thus, finally in January 2012 the “project” -prefix was let go and Red Eleven started rehearsing. J-V Hintikka (guitar) joined the band very soon when he heard they need a second guitarist. After 2 months of intensive rehearsing, they started recording their debut album ‘Idiot Factory’.
Red Eleven released it’s first album ‘Idiot Factory’ through Secret Entertainment in April 2013. The debut album got very positive feedback from media in Finland, as well as abroad. During the summer of 2013 the band started preparing it’s second album, composing, arranging and rehearsing songs. They hit SN-Audio Productions in November to record 12 new songs with Sami Niittykoski. In March 2014 Red Eleven signed a record deal with German label Lifeforce Records and band's second album 'Round II' was published in September 2014.
In the summer of 2015 it was announced that J-V Hintikka was leaving the band and Tom Gardiner (Solution .45, Hateform) was taking his place. There was no drama or bad blood between the guys and Red Eleven continued recording it's third album in Jyväskylä.
The first single and a music video titled 'I Follow' was published on November 2015.
