Devin Townsend, the legendary Canadian prog metal monster, is back again with another heavy album, the fifth in the Devin Townsend Project series.
Contributors are naturally Devin Townsend on guitars, vocals and keyboards, Anneke Van Giersbergen on vocals, and the rest of the DVP set consisting of Dave Young on rhythm guitar, Ryan Van Poederooyen on drums and Mike Young on bass.
EPICLOUD consists of 12 tracks of different genres (chosen out of 24 songs), including re-recording of the track "Kingdom" of Devin's 2000 record PHYSICIST.
Where/when was this release date announced?
About an hour ago on his FB official page: https://www.facebook.com/dvntownsend
I doubt this will be released as a “Devin Townsend Project” album since that was said to be a 4 album project that is all said and done. This will likely be released just as “Devin Townsend” even if it’s the same members
According to his twitter and FB account and Wikipedia this is going to be 5th album of the Devin Townsend Project.
A preview of all the songs has been uploaded to youtube

yes, great stuff!
Did anyone happen to grab that before he had to make it private?
Apparently his record company didn’t like him posting the album…
[NO LINKS]
Piratebay has the “listening party” w Devin’s commentary
This reported leak is the version with commentary…..
ye, pls don’t report with that commentary…
Yeah… please don’t report until the ACTUAL album itself leaks…
So.. It’s sealed, right?
Yes
Apparently the album was for sale at last nights gig so it shouldn’t be long before it leaks
Album has leaked, listening to it now.
where can i find it!?
Wonderful combo between Addicted and Deconstruction, with some Ghost sprinkled in.
I just downloaded the album at 320kBps without commentary. If you require a link, send a request to my email [edit: they can find it themselves] Cheers!!
I guess this is not my favorite. Not heavy enough for my tastes. Does have a heavenly/ghostly presence.
Prooooobably the best album ever.
