So 2014 was a good year, this is my tops list for these genres for the year

    1. Sontag Shogun – Tale
    2. Deru – 1979
    3. Orgamibiro – Odham’s Standard
    4. Bing and Ruth – Tomorrow Was The Golden Age
    5. A Winged Victory For The Sullen – Atomos
    6. Orcas – Yearling
    7. Keaton Henson – Romantic Works
    8. Luke Howard – Two & One
    9. Kyle Bobby Dunn – Kyle Bobby Dunn & The Infinite Sadness
    10. Ian William Craig – A Turn of Breath
    11. Erik K Skodvin – Flame
    12. Grouper- Ruins
    13. Black Elk – Sketches I-V
    14. The Humble Bee – She Possessed The Secret For Listening to the Stars.
    15. Deaf Center – Recount

Honourables – Memory Drawings, Christina Vantzou, Christoper Tignor, Eric Holm, Lawrence English, Poppy Ackroyd, Black Vines, Richard Ginns

It’s been a slightly slower start to the year for me in 2015, nothing has completely blown me away but there’s still some really good stuff out there, some of the albums I’ve been enjoying are

Anoice – In to the Shadows
    The frozen vaults – 1816
    Will Bolton – Marram

    and…
Luke Howard & Nadje Noordhuis – Ten Sails, William Ryan Fritch – Music For Film Vol1, Aidan Baker – Half Lives, Benjamin Finger – Pleasurably Lost, Piano Interrupted -The Unified Field Reconstructed, Jasmine Guffond – Yellow Bell, Nils Frahm – Solo, Olafur Arnalds & Alice Ara Ott – The Chopin Project, Michael Price – Entanglement, Sean McCann – Ten Impressions for Piano & Strings, Fabio Orsi – Just For a Thrill, and Kreng – The Summoner.

Also if you don’t mind pushing the genre boundaries in to post rock the Colin Stetson & Sarah Neufeld album and the new Oiseaux Tempete are both excellent.

I’m most looking forward to new albums from Brambles and Tape Loop Orchestra

What about you folks out there, anything you’re loving or looking forward to?
