Uhm dunno. I guess a metalcore maniac would like them but for me they seem pretty generic to me: usual metalcore clichés in the arrangements like the alternance of clean and growled vocals with the occasional breakdowns. I think that all the genre doesn’t offer too much originality (because of the rigid parameters that define the genre) with the only exception of Protest The Hero that shows an extraordinary musicianship that other bands don’t have. But they aren’t underrated at all. Anyway I liked the previous Bring Me The Horizon album – “There Is a Hell, Believe Me, I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let’s Keep It a Secret” – and I think that was pretty underrated, it was a good album beyond its scene escpecially because of its subtle and clever, never obnoxious, use of electronic elements.
Anyway in my opinion one of the most ignored album of 2012 was the self-titled one by the Irish songwriter Wallis Bird. Nobody talked about it enough. I love her powerful and strong lyrics and the whole album offers different solutions for each song. Look at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sro6t5Wu7Ik less than 2000 views. That’s a shame.
