Muse Confirms Summer 2015 Release
Remember the controversy when we got hit by the teaser trailer for Muse previous album, The 2nd Law? Those who worried that the band was going full dubstep should be pleased to know that Muse is planning on releasing a more guitar-driven record next summer. Before stepping back in the studio in May, Matt Bellamy said:
“I have this strong feeling that the next album should be something that really does strip away the additional things that we’ve experimented with on the last two albums, which is electronics, symphonics and orchestral work and all that kind of stuff.”
Through a series of tweets, the band have now confirmed that they are still on track on making a “heavy” sounding album.
@Tanb013 yes. It’s gonna get heavy.

Matt also stated that the album should be ready next summer. Personally, I’m stoked to have the band return to their roots.
Ahh I used to be a HUGE Muse fan… this feels very nostalgic for me. I’m actually looking forward to hearing this I guess, as my favorite things from Muse have always been the heavier stuff– Origin of Symmetry, Absolution.
You know how a band is past their prime? When they start talking about how they’re going to “go back to their roots”.
I’m going to get really hyped for this album, can’t wait for it and them going back to their older style.
Where did they say that the release for the album is scheduled for summer 2015?
