Living Things is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Linkin Park. It is set for release on June 26, 2012 through Warner Bros. Records. Production was handled by co-lead vocalist Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin, who both co-produced the band's two previous studio albums, Minutes to Midnight (2007) and A Thousand Suns (2010)
The band has stated that the album features a new direction in their music, combining the rap rock sounds of their debut album, Hybrid Theory (2000) and the electronic mixes of A Thousand Suns, whilst keeping a brand new, original sound.

Well, Burn It Down sounds… Good. It’s not what I hoped for, cause I thought it’ll be ”more Hybrid Theory”, but these times are probably over. Nevertheless I’m waiting eagerly for Living Things, which as I wish were not simply more energetic and pop version of Thousand Suns ;)

I’m of the ‘hybrid theory generation’ and was greatly disappointed by their last two albums. Just listened to Burn It Down, and it sounds okay-ish, but good enough for me to have a little hope for their new album. :D Bring it on!

From what’s out there so far, this doesn’t sound too bad – a little too pop for my taste, but still good. Be interesting to see what they do with their sound.
For those of you who haven’t heard it yet the new single is out and it sounds more like a generic club song than anything they’ve ever done before. They keep saying they’re “experimenting” but they really just come off sounding like a pop act who whines instead of who drinks and has sex with random skanks. This will be a waste of time as they think they’re moving forward but they’re just joining with everyone else on the pop scene.

Hahaha what a stupid comment; what the hell has sex with skanks got to do with how the track sounds? I don’t particularly like “Lies Greed Misery,” but Linkin Park is an amazing band taking bold steps. I’m really hoping this album brings some HybridTheory- and Meteora-ish sounds. I’m also hoping Clint never has kids… Can you imagine having a parent that brainless?
Laugh all you desire, its a horrible song that caters more to a popular sound using basic hip-hop rhythms. Every time Chester yells “Lies” “Greed” or “Misery” it feels like a ‘throw your hands in the air’ moment. Its bland, its generic, and there’s nothing bold about it. A Thousand Suns was interesting after the meh that was M2M but I haven’t got high hopes for this album. Sorry you guys are those that will buy whatever they release, good or not. Me, I get bored with this kind of nonsense. Its not bold, just lazy.

I was greatly disappointed with LP’s last 2 albums, and I’m not overly impressed with Burn it Down either. I loved Hybrid Theory and Meteora, as I’m sure most LP fans did, but this new stuff better not sound anything like their latest single, or I think all hope will be gone from me.

The “leaked” version of Castle Of Glass on Youtube is actually a Grey Daze song called “Hole” if that’s the version you meant. Grey Daze is the band Chester was in before Linkin Park.

The leak is fake. Once you download the file, it says you need a password, which you can only get by completing a survey. I suggest that this site resets the “leak” back to sealed.
