Follow up to their 2010 "Gorilla Manor". The band built a studio/rehearsal space in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles to work on Hummingbird, before recording in Montreal and then Brooklyn, where they produced it with the National's Aaron Dessner.
Humminbird it's one of the most anticipated album downloads of 2013 and we're here to keep up with the leaks.
Speaking to Pitchfork about working with Dessner, Local Natives' Matt Frazier said: "One night, after maybe drinking a little bit too much, he was like, "Maybe I should work with you guys." We were like, "Sure, buddy." After meeting with all these other producers, it just seemed like we should work with somebody we really get along with and respect as a songwriter."

Their facebook page links to Itunes where you can stream the whole album for free, for the time being.
It’s true the album is on pirate bay at 320k… I don’t think it sounds finished though – possibly unmastered tracks. They all lack oomph and good separation to be honest and the cymbals sound really compressed. That’s all I’ll say though. I’m still waiting for my preorder.
