Wet Leg’s second album, Moisturizer, is set for release on July 11, 2025, via Domino Records. Following their Grammy-winning debut, this record marks a significant evolution for the Isle of Wight band, now officially expanded to a five-piece with the addition of Ellis Durand, Henry Holmes, and Joshua Mobaraki.
Crafted during an immersive retreat in Southwold, Norfolk, the band lived together, writing by day and bonding over horror films by night. This collaborative environment fostered a more unified and experimental approach, with all members contributing to the songwriting process. The result is a collection of 12 tracks that delve into themes of obsession, emotional intensity, and personal growth, showcasing a sound that's tighter, bolder, and more self-assured than their debut.
The lead single, "Catch These Fists," exemplifies this progression, blending their signature post-punk energy with a dance-punk edge and a more aggressive tone. The album maintains Wet Leg's characteristic wit and rawness while embracing a more expansive and emotionally resonant sonic palette.
Moisturizer reflects the band's journey from their rapid rise to fame to a more grounded and introspective creative process, resulting in a record that balances their quirky charm with deeper emotional exploration.
