Bruce Springsteen has unveiled the details of a forthcoming eighteenth studio album, a follow-up to 2012?s critically lauded Wrecking Ball, titled High Hopes. The 12-track album is slated for a January 14th, 2014 release.
The Boss’ new album contains a mixture of new material, re-recordings of past songs (including the title track, which is a re-recording of a song previously tracked during the legend’s 1995 Greatest Hits sessions), and covers, with a guest appearance from guitarist Tom Morello.
Morello duets with Springsteen on a new version of the latter’s The Ghost of Tom Joad and reportedly plays guitar on the title track. The album also features a recording of American Skin (41 Shots), previously released as a live recording, and a cover of Suicide‘s Dream Baby Dream.
I love this kind of reporting (sarcasm) "first new album from The Boss since 2012's Wrecking Ball," it's his first new material since Mar2012 - by the time this album is released in Jan2014 that'll be a grand total of 22 months. Way to go "Journalist", writing through the pain and loss the fans feel for such lengthly delay between albums.
((sorry for cheeky, barely-on-topic post, I had to))
First single "High Hopes", added below.
Come on and leak already!
Still no leak? This is nuts!
The album is 42 days out, 6 weeks away from release. It is highly unlikely that thing album will leak until approximately one week before it is released.
I was being facetious
I wanna say I had Wrecking Ball two or three weeks early
Come on BRUUUUCE! I wanna hear this album!
Not yet???!!!
Leaked at hellwarez ;)
