Ever heard about watermarked promotional copies? Sadly, nowadays albums are only leaking 2 weeks or even 1 or a few days before the actual release date.

Absolutely fake. You can clearly hear the metronome ticking in that snippet. They took the audio from the DT video and created a fake leak. It’s also a confirmed fake by a guy on fiveeightforums who has a promo copy.
EDIT: Also comments are moderated on that videos. I posted a comment similar to the one I wrote here and it never appeared. Guess why… :P

Promo copy != Leak
I guess we’ll see the leak about a week or two before the release, as always
Well, promo copies are watermarked to know which “reviewer” leaked the material. The leaks usually come from the record stores that receive the albums a few days before the actual release. I would pay attention to the German or Japanese release date to know an accurate time of when you can expect a leak.

Ok guys, this is going to be long but maybe worthy. Apparently the album has leaked on a site that allows you to download the each track individually for free as .rar compressed files but requests completing a survey to give you the passwords to open them. I KNOW we all must think its pure BS but, the file size for ”The Enemy Inside” corresponds to the released version; almost 12MB @ 256 kbps… and this makes me wonder… I’ve downloaded all of the individual files but since I’ve no password I can’t open them. I’d be more than happy to share the files and the website info with all of you in case you want try crack the passwords or completing the survey. There’s still 33 days until release, do you guys honestly think it’s going to leak any time soon? I’ve downloaded many albums this year, and only 2 leaked more than a week ahead of the street date.

True, but Black Clouds & Silver Linings leaked a month or more before release. I remember downloading it a month before it came out.
That was back in 2009. There were still albums leaking a month in advance then. It’s a bit more rare now.

Nope. If they could, it would have leaked already, seeing as the promo copies have been distributed a long time ago.
Can’t they just “record” it using programs like wondershare?
The watermark would still be there.
i know that won’t be the best quality option but… they could play the cd on the pc and record the audio that is going out by the sound card. no watermark should be on the result.
ya but they aren’t so determinant to leak material from the album…. if they really wanted to they could have also post lyrics from the album and stuff….
