On May 2, 2013 it was revealed that original guitarist Head had returned to the band as well as participate in the recording process for the new album. Every member so far has stated that this is the best Korn album that they've ever done.Grammy Award-winning multiplatinum hard rock innovators KORN will unveil their 11th studio album, THE PARADIGM SHIFT,in stores and via digital retailers on October 8, 2013 on Prospect Park.
Produced by Don Gilmore, it will mark the first Korn album to feature original guitarist Brian "Head" Welch since 2003's Take a Look in the Mirror.
The album's first single, "Never Never", was first played on the radio on August 7th, it was later released on their Facebook page.

I’m hoping they will get more back to their original sound. I know bands evolve, but Path of Totality was quite jarring. It wasn’t a bad album in my opinion, it was just very different. Korn has always done whatever they want and doesn’t seem to care what the critics think such as not titling an album, or doing the dubstep album. I’ll probably like whatever they put out, but I’m hoping for something with a more traditional Korn sound. I liked the comment of “every member so far has stated that this is the best Korn album that they’ve ever done.” When has anyone ever said “this album is solid, but it’s not as good as our previous efforts”. :-p Everyone always says the next album is the best yet. I just always find that comment amusing.
As long as it’s not that dubstep bull$hit they out out last time, it should be better.

Hoping for something more like the Untitled album from 2007. Last 2 albums were disappointing to me.

I agree, seems like they are keeping some dubstep elements, too. This is what I was worried about, hoping the rest of the album isn’t like this.
They said 2 of the songs would lean to the electronical site and I guess this would be the first and the other would be Spike in My Veins since dubstep artist Noisia is producer on it.
This single is ridiculous, it’d fit more on the latest Linkin Park album :P

Sounds different, but like it could be JD if he switched up his style a bit. I researched some similar bands, ran it through Shazam and found nothing, so at least it’s not the usual Flymore trick.

That’s the reason why they put it out first, J said they released never never first to piss people off. And its apparently more for the female Korn fans. I didn’t like it at first but it grew on me. But Love and Meth is way better.
