Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails returns with a new album, titled "Hesitation Marks".
From TR: “I’ve been less than honest about what I’ve really been up to lately. For the last year I’ve been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly fucking great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again. My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!”
The album will get four different album covers, the one featured is for the digial version of the album.

Personally, I like “Copy of A” better than “Came Back Haunted.” Came Back Haunted just didn’t do it for me, I guess.

By the way he didn’t play any other new songs last Friday at the Lowlands festival in the Netherlands. Great performance though, and the ones he did play sounded even better live. There’s a professional registration of it on Youtube worth checking out.

Thanks a lot. The louder parts in between somewhat make up for overall poppy sing along mood of the song.
Don’t get me wrong, but it is just not the despair, anger and verbal wrath that makes his older work so appealing to me.
I love it, it reminds me of The Cure in the verses and Wire in the chorus, two of my favorite bands.
You should really analyze the lyrics of the song a bit before judging: it seems like a bitter song by a guy who finally feels he has something to lose, be it family, critical acclaim, whatever. In the choruses of the song, though, he’s very skeptical, paranoid of losing what he’s got, afraid of relapses and other shitty stuff happening. And then there’s an abrupt stop, and the lighter verse begins again. It the context, it makes the happy moments of the song reminiscent of DEVO’s ‘Beautiful World.’
I didn’t like it the first time I heard it. Gave it a few more listens and I love it. I like Copy of A the best so far though. And the live version of Find My Way is good too.
