Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails returns with a new album, titled "Hesitation Marks".
From TR: “I’ve been less than honest about what I’ve really been up to lately. For the last year I’ve been secretly working non-stop with Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder on a new, full-length Nine Inch Nails record, which I am happy to say is finished and frankly fucking great. This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again. My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!”
The album will get four different album covers, the one featured is for the digial version of the album.

Pink Floyd’s arguably greatest contributions were long epic songs, ie Echoes, Shine On, Atom Heart Mother, or, DSOTM, which is, somewhat considered to be one long song, to a degree. Take Led Zeppelin, google Dazed and Confused Live, see what comes up, I’ll tell you what comes up, an epic journey. The Doors’ The End, this is what I’m looking for from NIN, an epic journey, something that is completely fathomable by mr TR. I want a 30 minute trip out jam of the mind. Unless I’m mistaken.
Could be cool, but NIN has always been about dark pop songs. So fuck it, whatever he releases is good. But I’d love to see NIN go prog, don’t get me wrong!

Well, what it has been in the past is that Trent has review/promo copies altered in some way, so that if it gets leaked, it can be traced to the source of the leak. And then that person gets cut off in the future, and people don’t really want to be cut off.

I’d love to know what the reported leaks are that the two level 1 users reported. I’m pretty sure the first one was mentioned in a post as appearing in a YouTube video. I want this as bad as everyone, but I’m equally infuriated with fake leaks. That said, I predict this leaks by Monday or Tuesday at the latest because Trent will probably have a stream online. It could happen a lot sooner though.

well, i wanted to see if any traces of other NIN were stashed in there. so i could definitively call bullshit. I also listened to other albums front to back before calling terror on them. Thus I can say with absolution and total lack of doubt that the Backstreet Boys album Black and Blue is HORRIBLE.
When will people stop having the same conversation about every new release from an established artist. The creative process is a unique and terrifying adventure, and is a portrait of the artist at a specific time. Your opinion of the music is also going to change depending on the situations going on in you life at that moment. No one anywhere truly cares about your opinion but you. If you think you can do better, then get off your lazy a** and do it, otherwise just keep it to yourself please.

Good bet, though it’s too hard to be certain. Doris leaked a few days before release and they only made a stream available the day after the leak. On the other hand, the HTDA record was streamed something like 2 or 3 weeks early. These are all releases on Columbia Records, and it’s clear they’re patching their leak issues from the past. I’ll put my money on a Monday stream, but I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen.
