The Lonelyhearts is two-piece indie rock band based out of San Francisco, CA, comprised of John Lindenbaum, from Fort Collins, CO, and Andre Perry, from Iowa City, IA. Years in the Great Interior is their third full-length release, following 2005's "Dispatch" and 2008's "Disaster Footage at Night." December 2010 also saw the release of their four-song EP "Winter Club Split," two of which appear in full album form here. Lindenbaum and Perry met in the "pop-based alt-country hybrid" Rust Belt Music, which released its debut "Deborah" in 2002, but has been silent since "The Company Town" in 2006. Lindenbaum has also released a series of EPs, "The Christmas Day EP" in 2005, "The Easter Sunday EP" in 2007 and "Day of Atonement EP" in 2010.
Pre-ordering the album comes with an advanced stream on the Maximum Ames Records website.
UPDATE: On April 29, Maximum Ames Records, through which the album is being released, announced that the release will be delayed from May 14 to June 4 "due to some delays at the pressing plant."
