Ty Segall never stops. Today he's announced his first new record of 2013, which follows three 2012 releases as well as a pair of reissues from January and various singles with assorted projects. The album is titled SLEEPER (what a joke!), and is to be released August 20 via Drag City in the U.S. (and a day earlier in the UK). Like last year's Twins, this is credited to Ty Segall solo (not with his band).

I was listening to Rusted Dust and Goodbye Bread and thought that id like to hear an album kind of like those songs. Thank goodness it was as easy as buying Sleeper. I’m satisfied. Its pretty much exactly what Ty’s 4 studio album should be. And its so stinkin’ good.
