After releasing his debut album to much acclaim at the tender age of 19, Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg seemed to disappear from the scene for a bit. He never quite went away, but Avi Buffalo seemed to take a backseat to other endeavors - not the least of which was attending college, while living in a van in his parents' Long Beach, CA driveway.
After a few years of workshopping new material live, mostly solo and in one-off collaborative settings, the long-awaited second album was finally recorded and announced to the world. It should be interesting to see what this guitar virtuoso has learned since graduating high school and traveling the world. Many in the music world still hold out hope that this act will only get better with age; we'll know for sure in September, but the lead single seems promising enough.
