Childhood are a four-piece band from London, consisting of Ben Romans Hopcraft, Leo Dobsen, Daniel Salamons and Jonny Williams. They released their critically acclaimed debut single "Blue Velvet" with House Anxiety / Marathon Artists in October 2012. The double a-side single "Solemn Skies / Semester" followed on 10 June 2013, establishing their 90s nostalgic sound. The two tracks were produced by Rory Attwell, formally of Test Icicles. The band has been championed by ex-Spaceman 3 man Sonic Boom, whose remix of "Solemn Skies" is included on the release. He describes the band as "the sort of thing you come across once in a summer of balmy blue moons."
The band recorded their debut album with producer Dan Carey from late 2013 to early 2014. Their album is scheduled to release at the end of summer 2014, after UK tours with Palma Violets and Temples (band). The first single from the album "Falls Away" was premiered on Huw Stephens' BBC Radio 1 show on 3 April 2014 and will be released on 2 June 2014.
