Under the name Toro y Moi, Chaz Bundick helped to establish the chillwave style over a series of singles and albums beginning with 2009's "Blessa" single. At the same time, he explored his love of dance music under the name Les Sins. After releasing a single in 2009 for Carpark, "Lina"/"Youth Gone," Bundick focused most of his time and effort on his main band. In 2012 though, he revisited the Les Sins name, hooked up with Jiaolong Records and released two house-influenced 12" singles for them, 2012's "Fetch"/"Take" and 2013's "Grind"/"Prelim." Returning to the Carpark family, Les Sins' debut album, Michael, was released in late 2014 by their new offshoot label Company.
