While the album title wasn't official at first - It's now out in the open; Linkin Park is set to return with The Hunting Party on June 14th.
The band were working on the soundtrack for an upcoming film called Mall, directed by Joe Hahn. In an interview with Fuse, Mike Shinoda stated they began working on their sixth album.
Linkin Park is scheduled to perform at Download Festival on June 14, 2014, where they will play their debut album Hybrid Theory in its entirety for the first time. Linkin Park confirmed that they will headline Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in 2014, along with Metallica, Kings of Leon, and Iron Maiden. They will also headline with Iron Maiden again at the Greenfield Festival in 2014.
Shinoda recently hinted in a status update on his blog that the sixth album will be released in during 2014. On March 6, 2014, the band released their new single, "Guilty All the Same", which features American rapper Rakim, from the upcoming studio album through Shazam. The band's sixth studio album was later revealed to be titled as The Hunting Party, and it is set to be released on June 14, 2014.
Speaking about the band's sixth album to Noisey, Mike Shinoda said: "What's worked for us in the past is stick to our guns as far as what our creative vision is, spend a lot of time on it, and really craft it. On this record we spent six months in the studio, probably six more out of the studio in addition, just coming up with demos and throwing them away."
He added: "In contrast to that, there was a pop artist who I won't name who was in the studio while we were doing our record—they showed up for three days. Day one they showed up for thirty minutes, day two they showed up for fifteen, and day three they neglected to show up at all. The song was done."

I’m pretty sure when it does leak it will appear everywhere pretty fast. If a leak is reported and you can’t find it on all the various leak sites within ten minutes then it’s safe to assume it’s a false report.

Even though Chester did tweet about it (https://twitter.com/ChesterBe/status/475830080078622721), I highly doubt that it would come out in Germany tomorrow since the release date is set for 13th (Europe). He must be drunk… or perhaps he’s talking about something else? Like an online stream ’cause there would be only 1 week left after that for the album to release (US). Well, I hope we get to hear some good news tomorrow.
On the MTV website when you look at the new album, it says the release is on June 10th.

Lots of people keep saying they hope they return to HT style… look at a band like Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst is 43 and while I’ll Rock out to ,oat stuff they put out, it’s still the same. Linkin Park has managed to stay relevant since 1999 because of the changes they’ve made and the experiments they’ve done on their music. I’ve always hoped they would do something like the hunting party… lots of my friends actually make fun of me because LP hasn’t been very guitar and drum based recently

Pretty much. I am so glad they changed their style. When limp bizkit’s album Cobra (or what ever the hell it was called) it really proved that LP was brilliant.
LB’s album sounded exactly the same as they have always done and it was dated crap.

So apparently the album comes out on Tuesday in Germany, which is 6pm for USA (where I’m at).
It’s not going to come out at 12.01am in germany though.
All the official things I have seen says it’s the 13th.
I wonder why Chester tweeted that it will leak today.

When he tweets (Which is not often) it’s usually weird or funny things.
The album is being shipped to retailers apparently today and that is guaranteed to cause a leak. He just knew it was inevitable I guess.

Most probably. The other songs were released as singles so when Final Masquerade leaked it was just the one song.
All for nothing is not a single and the only way it could have been leaked was if someone ripped if from the full album.
This is me speculating but it makes sense to me.

Guys I’m doesn’t get it. I’m living in Germany and the album should arrive on Friday (13 june). I have Pre-ordered it and amaz** says that they don’t shipped it yet. So I don’t understand the tweet?
The retailers are supposed to get it today so that they will have stock for the 13th.

Why is it so hard to believe? Albums these days leak around a week or less before the release date. If it comes out Tuesday it usually leaks the Thursday before…it it comes out on a Friday usually leaks Monday or Tuesday . Nothing new here
Holy shit Mike’s rapping on ‘All For Nothing’ is awesome!! It is a really good song but I can’t help but feel annoyed that Chester is barely in it. He’s like just in the background yelling shit. I knew that Paige Hammilton was featuring in the song but i thought he would just sing one verse or something not all the way through leaving out Chester. I still really like it though.
chester’s on like every other song on the album as a lead though.
yeahh i know maybe it’s just me but I fee like when a song features someone they usually just do a verse like 3/4 in not the whole song. don’t get me wrong it is still a great song!!
