According to the new issue of Under The Radar, Panda Bear is once again working with Sonic Boom, this time on a “break-centric,” 9th Wonder-influenced new album, tentatively titled Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper. No release date yet for the record, which features tracks “constructed out of samples of self-made sounds” and is “meant as a celebration of the fact that new growth sometimes requires death.”
Below, watch Panda Bear perform a new song at last year’s Pitchfork Festival Paris. In the near future, he’s set to appear at Austin Psych Fest and Sasquatch!’s Memorial Day Weekend festival.
Honestly didn’t think I would like this that much after the singles but I actually really like the album and Mr Noah has grown on me since it first came out, this record just transports me to all of these different worlds and I can just relax, great record
