There’s something almost unreal about listening to the new Slipknot album for the first time. Not so much the music itself (though some of that is indeed quite the mind-fuck, as well), but rather the fact that it even exists in the first place. After Paul Gray’s tragic and untimely passing in 2010, the question of whether or not the ‘Knot would ever actually make another record without their fallen bassist and co-founder has lingered—and the possibility of it happening somehow seemed even more remote with the departure of drummer Joey Jordison last December.
Any word on when the special edition will leak?

the album was just amazing. Had completely lost my hopes after “The Devil In I” and the artwork, but Slipknot is back! “Skeptic” is the typical song to headbang to, my favorite so far, and the album is very similar to Vol. 3 with a mix to All Hope Is Gone. The old scratchs-ups of Sid are back, and the only difference is clearly visible on the drums, but the rest, fuckin’ great! 8/10
Let me kno what is the best song I mite give it a listen, waiting for full leak.. Hope its something along the lines of Wait and Bleed, Duality, Surfacing.

overall this is a great album. glad they brought back the aggression of the earlier albums. there are a few parts where ss bleeds over into the mix though, mainly “if rain is what you want”. if they had ended the song at the 4 min mark it would be one of my favorites, but instead ss taylor kicks in and kills the vibe. still it’s so nice to hear some new slipknot

gets better each listen…it does get a little stone sour-ish at points but i still gave it a 9/10…but every slipknot album is a personal classic
just heard bonus tracks…solidifies it even more ill be listening to this for A WHILE
Does album leaking ofen happen before release?
yes, but most of the time its closer to the release date with more well-known bands. this is hands-down the most anticipated metal album of the year and i’m sure roadrunner/slipknot are pissed it leaked so early. I still think fans will go buy the album though and I hope it will be #1 on the billboard charts
I think they intentionally leaked it to see which everybody’s favorite song was… then they officially released it on the 10th… in this case it was the song Custer…. the initially leak’s quality was higher than usual… just a guess but it wouldn’t be the first time a band did this…

I think its legit. the uk bonus tracks were mentioned earlier in an amazon link. and the last one does sound like corey singing. the significance unknown though, they’re really just strange
edit: its the Japanese edition that’s leaked out with them so maybe all of the special editions for each country have them
Anybody purchase tickets to see them live on their upcoming tour? Just wondering because those who did will get a digital copy of the album a day ahead of its official release i.e. tomorrow. I’m wondering if anyone has more information on this.
