Yuck dropped one of the more excellent and underrated albums of 2013 with Glow & Behold, which also happened to be their first release after losing singer Daniel Blumberg (now Hebronix) and promoting guitarist Max Bloom to the position. The transition was surprisingly painless for the listener, and the Londoners are now celebrating their renewed chemistry with a brand new EP dubbed Southern Skies. You can hear the first taste of that four-song spring release below. “Athena” begins with a characteristically dreamy vibe — lilting rock and shoegaze warp — and eventually explodes with clanging heaviness.
