Ariana Grande To Kick Off ‘Moonlight’ Era With New Single “Focus On Me”

Added

Day one of the iHeartMedia Music Summit delivered enough music to keep blogs humming for a week. Republic Records revealed that Ariana Grande will kick off the Moonlight era with new single “Focus On Me.” It’s due in the next couple of weeks.

As it turns out, the 22-year-old let the cat out of the bag more than a month ago on Instagram. “By ‘focus’ i meant ‘focus on me’ #thisisahint #youllsee,” the pop diva cryptically captioned a black-and-white photo. Ariana certainly isn’t wasting time on releasing new material. The dust hasn’t even settled on “One Last Time” (the fourth single from My Everything) and she’s already plunging into a new album.

Ariana Grande appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night and revealed that her new track, “Focus,” will debut Oct. 30, and that it’s the first single from her new album.

“That I was going to come share it with you first,” Grande said. “And I kept my promise.” She then revealed the news: “My first single off my new album is coming out on Oct. 30,” Grande said. “It’s called ‘Focus.’” She also revealed that she would play Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Sept. 26 and 27.

This forthcoming album will follow 2014’s My Everything, which featured hit singles “Problem,” “Break Free,” “Bang Bang,” and “Love Me Harder.”
