Technological advancement is the ultimate wrecking ball. First, video killed the radio star. Then, the internet killed the traditional music industry. And now technology is about to put its shit-kicker through the idea that Nashville is a country town. Hailing from Music City, electronic-punk rockers Five Knives are the perfect intersection of where good old rock n’ roll and electronic music meet. Their stuff is so fresh, that when they burst onto the scene in Nashville they were able to create the illusion that they were the hottest thing in town that you just hadn’t heard of yet – in order to see them you needed a password.

Currently in the studio working on tracks for their forthcoming full-length debut, the band will hit the road this summer on Warped Tour. Audiences nationwide will get the opportunity to experience what is arguably Nashville’s best kept secret. Technology strikes again.

So when on “Future” Anna sings, “We are the hopeless, we are the broken, we are the future,” it sounds like the truth.

Their new album "Savages" is set to release on June 2nd through Redbull Records.

How is this rated 10? I listened to parts of the album on iTunes and it just sounds like generic EDM pop claptrap. “Electronic-Punk” my ass.
