rank Ocean just took to Tumblr to announce his next album, Boys Don’t Cry, dropping some time this July

A rep for Ocean confirmed to Billboard that both a new publication by Ocean and a new album are coming in July. There's no title for either just yet.

The album, which is still rumored to be titled Boys don't Cry, is to feature Christophe Chassol, a french pianist. He told BBC6: "Ocean invited me to Abbey Road to record on his album. I asked him when I came, 'how he heard about me?' He told me his friend Diplo was listening a lot to [Chassol's 2013 album] 'Indiamore', and they started to listen to it, and they were wondering how I was doing the speech harmonization, so he called me. He asked me to do some speech harmonization on a song with him. After a while, it was cool and he was like, 'yeah, but we have to find another way because you already did it'."

According to Fader and Stereogum, there's evidence hidden within Frank Ocean's site which refers to a hoodie, tee and sneakers. As Stereogum points out, "A visit to frankocean.com will redirect you to boysdontcry.co, a Shopify web store with a Frank Ocean header." Which implies the album's title has been confirmed.

It has since been changed back to embedding Ocean's Tumblr page.

SebastiAn, most known for his work on the Ed Banger label, has been producing a few tracks with Frank Ocean, revealed by LesInRock. It was Busy P, the Ed Banger label boss who revealed the news in a recent interview.

Still no news on when the album will be released, or if it's actually finished.

Frank Ocean website suggests upcoming album release date timed for July 2016.

An Apple Music livestream reportedly appeared on boysdontcry.co early on August 1st, 2016. It is possible that Ocean will be livestreaming his channel ORANGE follow up at any given moment today. However, fans are waiting impatiently for more details and updates. It is also been reported by reddit users that the livestream is actually just an elaborate loop video.

Today, The New York Times revealed that the long-awaited Frank Ocean album "Boys Don't Cry" is going to be released on Friday, August 5th exclusively on Apple Music. Apple will also be releasing what's described as "a major video and a printed publication" to accompany the album on the same day.

New Travis Scott material was due out this past Friday, but was apparently pushed back due to technical difficulties. Fans are now speculating that this was the cause for Frank Ocean's release delay as well. Scott's release is due out this Friday, which leads fans to believe that this is Ocean's new release date as well.

The other rumor going around is a november release, but that is only based on the library card image.

The digital magazine has also leaked on Tumblr, partially.

Rolling Stones reports that a new Frank Ocean album will be released on Apple Music this weekend. It will be a new album separate from "ENDLESS". The album was previously titled "Boys Don't Cry" but apparently the title was changed.
