Gepe, also known as the designer Daniel Riveros, became one of the most important voices of his generation for his distinguished mixtures of two of the most deeply rooted genres in Chile. Often described as the "new guru of Chilean folk" by combining the sensitivity of the Chilean folk music of the 60's and 70's with a minimalist electropop sound. His unique style caught almost immediately favorable critical attention of the press not only in his native country.
Now, the chilean singer-songwriter revealed details of his new and 5th studio album, entitled "Estilo Libre" ("Free Style"), to be released internationally through all digital plataforms this next August 10th under the record label Quemasucabeza.
His new production has 12 tracks and presents collaborations with peruvian singers Wendy Sulca and La Lá, as well as the chilean Javiera Mena.
