From Pitchfork: Lower Dens have announced the follow-up to their 2012 album Nootropics. Escape From Evil is out March 31 in North America and March 30 everywhere else via Ribbon Music. The album was produced by the band's Jana Hunter. It was co-produced and mixed by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House, Future Islands). The band also collaborated with Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Sky Ferreira, Haim), John Congleton (Swans, St. Vincent, Cloud Nothings), and others on the album.

    really digging this album. it’s a definite departure from their older work – it’s much more immediate, hooks abound. should definitely be checked out.
