With the approach of the early 2015 release of their new album, ‘The Great Pretenders,’ Mini Mansions have released a teaser of sorts in the form of the synth-driven new single "Death Is a Girl."
The new wave, psychedelic pop single, which is available as a 7-inch single, is backed with a cover of Sparks’ ‘Sherlock Holmes.’ The band’s new LP will be available in both the U.S. via T Bone Burnett’s Electromagnetic Recordings and Capitol Records, as well as in the U.K. via Fiction Records.
Fortunately for Mini Mansions, they already have a leg in the scene; vocalist Michael Shuman also slaps the bass for Queens of the Stone Age. ‘The Great Pretenders’ features collaborations with the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson and the Arctic Monkeys‘ Alex Turner.
