Public Image Ltd. (PiL) will release a new album this fall titled "What The World Needs Now…". The record follows 2012’s "This Is PiL", and will be the band’s 10th studio album.
Lead track and debut single “Double Trouble” is slated to be released on 8/21. Double Trouble 10" vinyl single (released August 21st):

"What The World Needs Now…" was recorded last year at Steve Winwood’s Wincraft studios and will drop in September on the band’s own label, PiL Official.
For the first time in Public Image Ltd.'s nearly 40-year, revolving door history, the same personnel will appear on consecutive albums as Lydon will once again be joined by guitarist Lu Edmonds, drummer Bruce Smith and bassist Scott Firth. Both Edmonds (formerly of the Damned) and Smith (ex-The Pop Group) started collaborating with Lydon for 1987's "Happy?", but neither appeared on PiL's 1992 album "That What Is Not".
John Lydon and 'This Is PiL' crew to tour UK/Europe in Sep/Oct and North America this fall.
